Being in the wedding industry going on six years and to finally say I’m engaged is beyond surreal! They say it always happens when you least expect it and boy were they right!
The day Kyle and I met, was the day I surrendered my singleness to God and signed up for a online course, called Love Your Single Life. That same day he got a letter saying he’d be promoted from the Port of Seattle to the Port of Everett (timing is a funny thing).
Our first date he took me to Lake Goodwin where there was a picnic for two on the dock with all the fixings and two fishing poles. No detail or effort went unnoticed that day with me. Including prepaying for my parking, arriving a half hour early to set up a sweet scene and driving over a total of three hours round trip from Bremerton to Stanwood.
Later that evening Kyle told his mom “I think I just met my wife” (But Seriously!).
From there on out, Kyle continued to be patient in his pursuit and was purposeful with his actions. But God’s faithfulness is what brings us to where we are today! It was only fitting on Labor Day weekend on his late sister’s birthday, for him to propose at the very place we first met, out on the dock! With a customized heirloom ring that was once his grandmothers in hand (thanks to Charles Fine Jewelry)!
Now I finally get to see the planning from the Brides view! With that being said, our process is being revamped for the 2021 season and are even providing more checklists and helpful documents for our couples. Because let’s be real, though the planning process is so fun, it’s a lot!
We are constantly being asked if we have a wedding date set and we are so thrilled to say we do! We will be tying the knot in front of our closest friends and family April of 2021. Regardless of what the world throws our way I love to say! I have always found so much beauty and intimacy in quaint guest counts which is what we’ll be celebrating with.
I’m excited to bring all our couples and supporters into our wedding planning process and give tips and tricks along the way!
Here’s to 2021 and becoming a soon to be Radabah!
