Something I often get asked is what is the difference between Day-Of Coordination and Partial Planning!? Well today we break it down for you!
Day-Of Coordination in fact starts two months prior to your wedding date. For our Eastwood Events couples we assure them that no matter their package or where they are in the process they are always welcome to email us with any questions that may arise. Once our clients book, we send them a welcome packet filled with local wedding pros we recommend, just in case they have some wedding pros they’re still in search of.
Two months prior to the event date, I meet with the couple at their location to chat floor plan, design specifics, and timeline. This meeting typically takes an hour and covers many of the last bit of details. After this meeting takes place, I create a digital floor plan with the dimensions of the space and pieces that go into it, to give a accurate representation of what it will look like. The next step is our “Master Timeline” which includes every detail of the setup plan as well. What the elements are, where they will go and the quantity. The timeline portion has every wedding professionals arrive time, as well as any pieces of their timeline that applies to mine (typically the Photographer and DJ have ones of their own).
Two weeks before your big day is when I reach out to the rest of your wedding team and add them to the timeline so we are all on the same page. The last two weeks of the planning process, my hope and goal is that you will have to communicate as little as possible with anyone and enjoy that time freely with family and friends. The day of the rehearsal I am there for that hour working hand and hand with your officiant coaching the run through. Once it’s the day of your wedding I am typically the first one to arrive and the least one to leave. There setting up, as the point of contact and always near when situations may arise.
Now that we have covered Day-Of Coordination, let’s chat a little about Partial Planning. My quick description of this is what I like to call “hand holding”. It includes everything Coordination does but with a little extra. This package includes in depth design meetings on how to bring your Pinterest board to life in a way that’s manageable. It includes 2 additional venue visits to the Coordination Package and Research of remaining vendors needed as well as sitting in on some of those meetings as the client needs.
Partial Planning is perfect for the bride that has a venue and a vendor or two but doesn’t know where to go from there, we will be by your side helping your through the process. While Day-Of Coordination is perfect for the couple that has most of their pieces together and needs someone to help with the finishing touches.
