I believe it was December of 2016 I had caught wind from the owner of Skagit Valley Wedding Rentals, Taryn, that her Uncle, Nick, was going to be opening up a wedding venue just down the road from our showroom. Venue’s are something I feel you can never have enough of. Each venue has it’s own personalities and quirks that fits best with it’s own unique couples. I’m calling this barn the “Rustic Charmer”.
The first time I toured the barn it was down to the bare bones, dirt floor and all. I was immediately drawn in with the great potential this beauty had to offer. The first thing that caught my eye were the worn white wood ceilings. The white paint from the ceiling has a way of subtly dripping down the walls in an elegant way. The surrounding walls are lined with original paned windows and wood sliding barn doors.
Upon seeing the main level of the barn I thought how could it get any better!? And it did. The cathedral ceiling of the upstairs has such a detailed grand affect, which would be perfect to hold a ceremony.
Though this barn is just in the beginning stages of it’s transformation, I can only imagine how it’s natural beauty will be magnified. I’m so thrilled to be taking on this venue today in a styled shoot and showing not what it is, but the potential of what it could be. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for transformation photos!
