Hi I’m Whitley, Founder and Lead Event Planner at Eastwood Events. I established the company in 2016 and am so thrilled to see where it takes me. I’ve always had the drive and desire to own my own business but couldn’t seem to find something that fit the logistic side of things and creativity into one career. In 2014, I graduated with my Associates in Business. Months after graduating I helped decorate and set up my cousin’s wedding at Stepping Stones Garden and had an “ah ha” moment. Growing up watching the movie “The Wedding Planner” it was one of those movies that seemed like a dream. Beginning of 2016, I ended a yearlong Wedding Planner Internship and transitioned into a Wedding Planner Certification program. Since getting Certified through the Association of Bridal Consultants, I have also worked along side multiple Event Planning companies as their "Day-Of" Assistant. I’m enthusiastic about making the transition from “Assistant” to “Lead” in events and running my own Event Planning company.
Q:What do you do in your free time?
A:When I’m not planning a wedding or working on my next crafty idea for a wedding. I like to spend my time in the great outdoors, hiking!
Q:What’s your favorite part of a wedding?
A:Besides the ceremony and all those sweet touching moments I get to see being behind the scenes. I love all those tiny details that make up a wedding, so tiny that in the big picture you hardly notice.
Q:What is your favorite time of year?
A:Spring! You get to enjoy everything blossoming. You still get those crisp mornings but know that summer is right around the corner.
